Andreas is Venture Capital Investor and Founding Partner of UNIQA Ventures GmbH, one the leading Venture Capital funds in CEE and one of the most active #Fintech investors in Europe according to @atomico and @Dealroom.co.

Andreas has over 25 years of professional experience with Financial Services and Insurance after launching startups before 2000. In 1997 he was on the team that founded Netway Internet Services 1999 he was one of the founders of caibon.com, the online brokerage subsidiary of CA IB Investment Bank AG, before launching brokerjet.com, an online brokerage firm in 2000, which was later integrated into Erste Bank Group.

Both companies can be considered the first FinTech Startups in Austria although, by that time, the term FinTech had yet to be invented. He joined the insurance industry in 2002 working in different management roles for Allianz Group, gaining from the ground up experience and knowledge of the insurance market, products and value chain from Sales, Product, Risk, Operations to Asset Management.

Andreas joined UNIQA in 2011 as Head of Group Controlling in charge of group-wide strategic planning, performance and cost management along with executing M&A and Corporate Finance transactions.
