Join the Confare Female IT-Mentoring in Zurich and give your IT career a boost
Confare Female IT Mentoring is part of the Confare CIOSUMMIT Zurich. The mentoring program aims to facilitate an exchange between experienced CIOs and women aspiring to careers in corporate IT.
Our Confare Female IT Community is open to all experience levels and is designed to be bilingual (German/English). We look forward to seeing you at our Female IT Mentoring session on September 9, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Marriott Zurich Hotel.
We have invited thought leaders to host dedicated zones focused on their specific key topics. Together with the participants, they will lead interactive, workshop-style discussions in 30-minute sessions.
The setting consists of small groups, followed by a 3-5 minute presentation of the three most important key takeaways.
The Goal: Exchange ideas on trending topics, get to know the group, and facilitate further independent networking at the CIOSUMMIT.
To ensure a perfect match between mentor and mentee, please register with three specific questions you would like to discuss with your future mentor regarding career and life in IT.
The goal of the mentoring program is to initiate and promote the exchange of experiences between seasoned CIOs and women who aspire to pursue a career in corporate IT.
Is Switzerland lagging behind Germany and Austria when it comes to the proportion of women in IT?
For many years, Confare has been recognizing Digital Leaders and CIOs across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). However, the number of women among the award recipients has been alarmingly low.
Increasing the proportion of women in IT requires changes across society:
Moving away from clichés and stereotypes
More male colleagues who are also committed to gender balance
And above all – female role models in IT!
This need has become increasingly evident through many conversations.
With the diverse Confare Female IT Mentoring program, we offer the opportunity to connect with experienced female IT professionals from renowned companies to discuss careers, life planning, and networking – your perfect match!
Our mentors are there to support emerging leaders and high potentials with advice and hands-on guidance!
As part of the Confare CIOSUMMITs 2026, we would like to expand the Female IT Mentoring program for the first time by introducing so-called “Male Allies.” By this, we mean experienced male leaders from the IT sector who consciously use their position and influence to promote equal opportunities and contribute to an open, inclusive corporate culture.
Until now, the mentoring program has been reserved for women in order to provide a protected environment for exchanging experiences about career paths, challenges, and opportunities for women in IT. By specifically involving selected male leaders, we would like to broaden this dialogue and further strengthen the visibility and development of women in corporate IT.
You, too, can participate as a Male Ally in the Confare Female IT Mentoring program. Register for the mentoring program, and our team will provide you with more detailed information about your registration. With your experience and perspective, you can make a valuable contribution, enrich the discussion on this topic within the IT community, and support and encourage women on their career paths.
