Group CIO (Group IT & OT Director)
Vetropack
Wolfram Schulze has served as the Group CIO at Vetropack, one of Europe’s leading glass packaging manufacturers, since April 2024. He brings with him a distinguished track record in software engineering and digital transformation consultancy, which began at Siemens AG in 2008.
In 2017, Wolfram transitioned to Rentschler Biopharma SE, where he led the Digital Unit as the global IT function. There, he spearheaded the ‘Rentschler Biopharma Digital Roadmap 2025,’ driving strategic portfolio management, digital innovation, and the development of digital literacy during a pivotal phase of the company’s growth and internationalization.
At Vetropack, Wolfram continues to lead digital transformation, advocating for a harmonious integration of IT and business functions, symbolized by the balance of Yin and Yang. He also oversees the company’s ‘Digital Factory’ unit, working to bridge the gap between IT and Operational Technology (OT). Believing that any successful transformation requires a strong foundation, his primary goal is to ensure that IT operates with the efficiency and strategic focus of a business unit. Wolfram firmly believes that successful transformation starts with people, and that empathetic leadership is key to building trust and unlocking the full potential of digitalization.
