Head of IT | Pichler Medientechnik

My journey into IT began with an innate fascination for the humming life of computers. This passion first sparked to life as a child, when every click and command felt like a conversation with the future. The intricate dance of technology became my second language as I grew, branching out from spirited Sims sessions to coding my own mods—a teenage twist that introduced me to the allure of programming.

My formal foray into the tech world was rooted in materials science at a local HTL. But the binary beats of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript soon called my name, leading to my first professional gig at Magenta. Here, I dipped my toes in IT projects, and the thrill of creation in the digital realm was palpable.

Craving further depth, I embarked on a journey to become a Java software developer through a rigorous diploma program. However, I soon realized that pure programming couldn’t contain my restless spirit, craving more than the quiet hum of code on a screen.

The pivot came with a role in IT support at Styria, where a serendipitous encounter with media technology set my career path alight. Moving to easescreen / Pichler Medientechnik, I found my niche in the vibrant intersection of IT and AV—a field as dynamic as I am, with the perfect mix of desk-bound strategy and hands-on action that keeps my days varied and my mind sharp.

Today, I stand proud in an industry that fuels my fire, where the excitement of the ever-evolving tech landscape is as constant as the golden retriever-like energy I bring to every project. Off the clock, I’m a married adventurer with two cats, always on the move, finding joy in the journey—both digitally and in the world beyond the screen.
